CAPRI IVY

Capri Ivy Smith born June 15 2012 11:27 AM
7lbs 4oz 19 inches
Riverton Hospital
Delivered by the on call Doctor: Scott Epstein
I had a pretty good pregnancy with Capri. I was a little nauseous in the beginning, but probably only threw up one time. I had the strangest cravings I wanted MacDonald's cheeseburgers, and diet coke, watermelon, and iceberg shakes.  I had sciatica off and on through the pregnancy which was painful but luckily would come and go. My sister Ann had her baby two weeks before me. She ate lots of black licorice and she swears  it put her into labor. I was getting anxious and was defiantly going to try this on the weekend before I was due. I was due Monday the 18th. I bought a big bag  of black licorice and was going to eat it on Friday. Well all day Thursday I was having small contractions. I didn't think much of it. I went to bed. Kevin worked late that night and didn't get home til around midnight. Then Paisley woke up around 1:30 am and Kevin went in to help her go back to sleep. Then I woke up at 3:00 am with really bad contractions. I waited til about 4:30am to wake up Kevin. By then my contractions were about 4 minutes apart, hard and painful. We called my mom to come stay with Paisley and we headed to the hospital. I had the strep b virus so I had to be on antibiotics 4 hours before I delivered. They gave me an IV and started the antibiotics. I got and epidural about an hour later and after the four hours was up. They broke my water and I had her about  an hour later. I pushed for about 20 minutes and our sweet baby girl was here!! Kevin had to sit down because he almost passed out. Grandma Anderson came and brought Paisley. Paisley was so excited she could not stop giggling. It was so sweet.
