Thanksgiving 2008

We had a really good thanksgiving this year! Kevin played in football with some of his buddies and I started out by running a 5k with my family. (My dad, Ann, Alvin, Laura, Stuart, Jen, and her sister in law Renee) It was a lot of fun! We all finished within minutes of each other. My sister in law Laura is six months pregnant and still running like a champ!! She is such a trooper. Then we went to Kevin's parents for dinner. We had the best thanksgiving dinner. I brought a salad, cranberry sauce and my family's favorite tradition Almond Paste swirl a yummy dessert. Then we played the famous Christmas tree bingo, a family tradition for Kev's family, and just hung out. Later we went to visit my family, and helped tie quilts and make blankets for those in need, I found out quilting is not my favorite past time. ha ha (I might have screwed it up in a few places) Its the thought that counts right?

After the Race
Renee, Jen, Stuart, Amber, Dad, and Ann (Don't know where Alvin and Laura went?)

Philly & New York Trip (WARNING this is A LOT of pictures)

My friend Marcy and I went to visit Angela, Paul and Hayden in Philadelphia, all of us took the trip to New York for the weekend. It was such a blast!! When we first got there we took the subway and spent time touring downtown Philly. We saw a lot of cool buildings and historical sites. We ate at a historic farmers market, Reading Terminal Market. It had a huge selection of baked goods, meats, poultry, seafood, produce, flowers, ethnic foods, cookware and eclectic restaurants throughout the market, we ate the best burger there!! We went to Pen's Landing and saw some cool battle ships, we ate the biggest cheese steak of our lives, we played the lottery, saw the Rocky statue, saw some huge crazy cemeteries. We saw where the Philly's won the world series, we saw where the Eagles play ball. The next day we drove to Lancaster and saw some Amish towns, we drove through Intercourse PA and got some souvenirs, we tried there pretzels and homemade root beer that tasted pretty nasty. Then we drove to Hersey and went to the Chocolate World, we saw how chocolate candies are made, it was fun! We felt like we were at Willy Wanka's Chocolate factory. Then we went over to Hersey Park an amusement park by chocolate world. We went on rides, went in shops and played games. It was a good time! Over the weekend we drove two hours to New York City and stayed in the Marriott just down the street from Time Square. We went around time square, went shopping on Canal Street, went to little Italy, saw central park, statue of liberty, ground zero, empire state building, Rockefeller center. We had such a great trip!! Thanks Ang and Paul for Hosting us.
