Paisley loved her little float tube. She was so content with just floating around the lake.

So Long Gramps... we will miss you!!

Daniel Dean Stuart (1923-2010)
My Grandpa passed away on July 7th. He died of complications due to a recent surgery and Dementia with Lewy bodies,( a disease with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's symptoms.) He married Thora June Newton on July 15, 1941 in Boise Idaho. They had 4 children my mom Sandra, Sharon (my moms twin who died at birth), Sally & Billie. He served in the Navy during World War II. He earned his Masters in industrial relations at Cornell University in NY. Then they move to Ashland, Ohio and grandpa worked for a printing company. There 4 more children joined the family. Valerie, Lori, Daniel, & Julie. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. After a Job change to NY in 1970. June valiantly fought cancer until she passed away in 1973. In 1974 Grandpa married Diane McMahon, who had two children from her previous marriage Deborah, and Kimberly. They were all sealed in the Oakland temple in 1975. Matthew was born to Dean & Diane in 1977. Dean served in many callings for the LDS church including high counselor, Bishop and Stake president. In 2001 Dean and Diane moved to Washington DC while Grandma worked for President George W Bush. Grandpa concentrated on temple work and supporting grandma by cooking, cleaning, etc. He had 50 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. What a great man. I will always remember grandpa for his funny sense of humor and his big bushy eyebrows. Thanks for everything grandpa, we sure love you and thanks for giving us our amazing mother!!

SUMMER FUN

This weekend we went to the Demolition Derby with Pete, Hayley, Greg, Jane, Lily & Urban. It was really fun. The cars got pretty smashed up. Paisley didn't quite know what to think of it. She actually fell asleep in the final round.

Proud to be an American!!

I'm so thankful for our country and the freedom that we have. We celebrated the 4th of July this year with our friends Pete and Hayley. We went to dinner at the brick oven and then went to the stadium of fire. It was a fun night. Carrie Underwood sang the national anthem and then put on a pretty good show!! The jets flew over the stadium (that's always my favorite part.) and we saw amazing fireworks.
